Monel 400 Demister:
Monel 400 Demister is primarily a resistance to corrosion alloy
that offers very high resistance to seawater and steam at the
elevated temperature limits. It comprises of large strength as well
as causes resistance to the salt and caustic solutions.
Monel 400 Demister gets nominally corroded in the seawater and
offers superior resistance to stress corrosion cracking in the
natural water. It performs excellently in the wide range of
corrosive conditions including de-aerated hydrochloric and
hydrofluoric acids, nitric acid and ammonia. It performs well in
the different temperature operations. The Demister preserves its
mechanical features at the high level even from the sub zero
temperatures to 1000oF.
Monel K500 Demister:
Monel K500 Demister dominates over Monel 400 Demister due to its
very high strength and inherited properties of corrosion resistance
from Monel 400 alloy. It has larger firmness and toughness. It
provides very high yield strength and tensile strength. Its
resistance to stress corrosion cracking is improved more in the age
hardening condition. It retains its strength up to 1200oF and
ductility is maintained even lower than 400oF. Monel K500 Demister
offers significant resistance to sour gas conditions and gets
nominally corroded in the still sea water.
